Probe of Fatal Wildfire Nets 'Person of Interest'
(Beaumont, CA) - A man arrested in relation to two arson fires remains a "person of interest" in the massive wind-whipped wildfire in Southern California that killed five federal firefighters last week.
Authorities said that the arsonist, who sometimes goes by the nickname of "Mister Hundred and One," may have been involved with more than three dozen fires since May.
"This arrest really does help with some of the closure, the healing that we in the Forest Service community, and in the families, need," said Jeanne Wade Evans, the San Bernardino National Forest supervisor. "This sick bastard is too much."
District Attorney-elect Rod Pacheco said the accused arsonist will also face two so-called special circumstances, one alleging murders committed during arson and another alleging multiple murders.
Interviewed by National Nitwit reporters, Mr. Green Christmas remained resolute.
"Oh, some like it hot, but I like it REALLY hot," he said.>
